Charles Z. DAVIS, brakeman on the Central, met with a fatal accident on Tues. afternoon at the Jackson St. crossing in Anderson. He was flagging and in some manner was caught between two cars. One leg was nearly severed above the knee. He was taken to the hospital and d. on the operating table at 3:15. Mr. Davis was one of the oldest employees in service. He was of a jovial disposition and went by the name of "Shorty." His home was in Muncie and his wife survives him. -- typed by kbz
